Visa and Social Insurance Service
Each student is first granted a temporary entry visa to enter Ireland. Within the first four weeks of your arrival, you must visit GNIB to register for one academic year. ICOT provides you with the necessary advice and supporting documents to extend your visa during your stay with us as a student. This includes reference letters to obtain a social security number (PPSN) and to open a bank account in Ireland.
